Destiny 2 LFG — Raid Groups That Won't Kick You for Asking

Destiny's endgame is built for six coordinated people and served by an LFG culture of "KWTD, 2000+ light, no mic no invite." TGH is the other option: a free adult Discord where teaching runs are normal and nobody gets dropped for dying on a mechanic.

Mic'd, patient callouts

Encounter mechanics get explained before the pull, not shouted about after the wipe.

Teaching runs are welcome

First raid clear? Say so. Plenty of members enjoy sherpa-ing more than speedrunning.

Weeknight and weekend runs

Reset-week clears, dungeon nights, and Trials cards when enough people are on. Heaviest 7pm–2am EST.

The problem with standard Destiny LFG

Destiny's LFG culture optimises for the fastest possible clear, which means filtering for people who've already done it. That's rational for the person posting and terrible for everyone else — it produces a wall where new raiders can't get experience because they don't have experience. Add a light-level check and the requirement that you already know every callout, and a lot of players simply never see the endgame their game is built around.

How runs work here

Someone posts a run in the Destiny channel with what it actually is — "Salvation's Edge, teaching run, need 3" or "quick Ghosts clear, KWTD-ish." You join voice, mechanics get walked through for anyone who needs it, and the group works the encounter. Wipes are expected. The group finishes the raid or calls it and picks it back up another night; nobody gets kicked mid-encounter.

Raids, dungeons and everything else

Raid clears and weekly rotations, dungeon runs (solo-flawless attempts included, with people happy to talk you through it), Trials cards on weekends, Nightfalls and Grandmasters, plus seasonal content grinding when a new season lands. Anything that benefits from five other people who talk.

Who's here

Adults, mostly 25–45, with limited playtime. A mix of day-one veterans and returning players who bounced off during a content vault and came back. If you want a hardcore day-one race roster, this isn't that. If you want a reliable six that clears the raid on a Wednesday evening, it is.

Common questions

Do I need to know the raid already?

No. Teaching runs are a normal part of what happens here — say it's your first time and someone will walk you through the mechanics.

Is there a light level requirement?

For Grandmaster and contest-mode content, the game enforces one. For normal raids and dungeons we don't add our own gate.

Do I need a mic?

Yes for raids and dungeons — Destiny endgame encounters are callout-driven. Lurking in voice on your first run is fine.

How do I know when a run is happening?

Pick up the Destiny role when you join and you'll get pinged when someone's forming a group. You can also post your own.

Is it free?

Yes. Joining and running with groups costs nothing. Paid memberships are optional extras unrelated to LFG.
